Just as a reminder, you only have a couple days left to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin in order to receive 50% off on your first two months! This promotion is for first time subscribers only. To qualify, enter the code HALFOFF when you subscribe HERE. Also, if you’d like to re-activate your subscription so you can receive the September kit, you need to do it before the cutoff date of September 10th. I bet this month’s kit will be a lot of fun… I predict something Halloween related … possibly. It is a surprise each month, but for the past two years, that’s what’s happened and the kits have been getting better and better, so don’t delay!
As an added bonus for my subscribers, each month I send out a group of tutorials (from 8 to 12) for alternative projects you can complete with the kit along with some extra supplies. I get together with some of my demonstrator friends to create this exclusive document each month. The ideas are creative and amazing, and you’re going to love it! I send this document out for FREE only to my subscribers. Here’s a sneak peak from last month’s tutorial.
Here’s an example of one of the tutorials from last month:
For my inspiration today, I have a GORGEOUS card that my good friend Faith made for me for my birthday! This is one of the many beautiful cards I received. I feel so lucky and blessed to have so many talented friends and family members! It means so much to me to receive handmade cards. I understand the thought and hard work that goes into designing and making each one, and I want to thank you ALL!!!
Faith created this beautiful background with Shimmery White paper and watercoloring. She told me that she twisted washi tape and stuck it on the paper before she wet it, then she removed the washi tape after the watercoloring dried. I absolutely love the watermarks and white space, as well as the faint little script stamps from the By the Tide stamp set. The end result is so artistic!
Another thing I really like about this card is the color combination of Mossy Meadow, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz. I would never have thought of that combination, and it’s just gorgeous. Finally, don’t you just love the way Faith added the glitter to the inside of the butterfly wings? I think this is one of the prettiest cards I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you Faith!
