I’ll get to the weekly news in a bit, but first I wanted to share some projects with you. Stampin’ Up! recently asked its Demonstrators to design cards using past Paper Pumpkin stamps. I completed two entries that I wanted to share with you. I not only used several past Paper Pumpkin stamps, but a lot of the exclusive die cuts, trims, and designer paper left over from the kits.
My first project uses one of the triangle boxes that we received last October. The box was intended to mimic a slice of pie for Thanksgiving, but I turned mine inside out and changed it into a decorative Valentine gift! It would be great filled with chocolates.
I stenciled my box using the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask and Calypso Coral ink.
The White Satin Ribbon and white and gray Baker’s Twine were left over from past Paper Pumpkin kits. So was the label, banner, chevron, and strip of gray hearts.
For my next card, I created my own background with a simple little dot stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. I used three different colors of ink, including Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sky and Smoky Slate.
I created the silver striped banner by lining up several rows of silver washi tape from the November Paper Pumpkin kit.
The pretty silver star and silver and white Baker’s Twine are also from past kits, along with all the arrow stamps and Thankful For You. I love all the unique stamps I’ve collected from past Paper Pumpkin kits!

This week, Stampin’ Up! is featuring a lot of Textured Impression Embossing Folders, as well as the Texture Boutique Machine, in its Weekly Deals. The Texture Boutique Machine is designed to work with the Textured Impression Embossing Folders. It’s a less expensive option than the Big Shot, if you’re only interested in using Textured Impression Embossing Folders. (The Big Shot also works with Framelits, Thinlits, and die cuts.)
Sale-a-bration is going on right now, and continues until March 31, 2015. During this time period, you can earn a FREE Sale-a-bration product with every $50 you spend (no limits!) Each week, the designers at Stampin’ Up! are focusing one Sale-a-bration product to provide inspiration. This week, they’ve selected the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.
