Life Changes & What It Means:
Next week, I’m starting a new job. My youngest child will be going off to college next Fall, so I’ve know for some time that I would eventually go back to work. This job sort of fell in my lap, which I consider pretty lucky given the current state of the economy and the fact that I’m well into my 50s. A long-time client of my husband’s asked him to help find a replacement for his accountant, who is retiring. For years, I’ve done back office work for this client for my husband, so it was a natural response to say, how about Tami? So, I’ll not only be the new accountant, but I’m also taking over Human Resources and Payroll. It’s a fairly small firm (approximately 30 employees), but it will take some getting use to especially in the beginning. I hoping that eventually the job will become part-time after I’m up to speed. But, I’ll have to see how things go. (That may be wishful thinking!)
With this new job will come a few changes in my Stampin’ Up! business. Don’t worry, I’m just scaling back a little on the super time consuming things. I will continue to be a demonstrator, hold regular workshops, work with the Paper Pumpkin Gurus to bring you exclusive ideas on alternative projects, and be there to support your crafting needs.
The things I plan to scale back are as follows:
- Blog Posts: I’ll have three blog posts a week instead of four. Going forward, I’ll post on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In general, Mondays will focus on scrapbook pages, Project Life, or projects I happen to be working on at the moment like Paper Pumpkin; Wednesdays will focus on any Stampin’ Up! news and may include a simple project; and Fridays will focus on techniques and more difficult projects.
- Stamps In the Mail: I will no longer be able to offer regular Stamps In the Mail classes. Those classes are very time consuming to design and write up. I will try to put together some similar tutorial classes when I can, especially around Christmas. But, they will be much less frequent.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions. I value my customers and want to ensure that I continue to give you the best customer service possible.
Last week, I reported that Weekly Deals are leaving. If you missed that post, Stampin’ Up! announced that it will be replacing Weekly Deals with a less frequent but better promotion called Special Offers. These Special Offers will occur every few months as inventory allows (the goal is to reduce overstocked inventory) with more products and discount tiers than Weekly Deals.
With that in mind, here are the last Weekly Deals, and there are a lot of them!!! Be sure to look carefully at this list and take advantage of the savings.
Check back tomorrow for the first post on my new blog schedule.
Have a wonderful and creative week!
