Today, there are three new Sale-A-Bration products to choose from.  They are all available until the end of Sale-A-Bration on March 31, along with all the products from the original Sale-A-Bration flyer except the limited edition ones at the back.  You can earn one of these items each time you spend $50.  I’m placing an order today, so I can get my hands on both the tandem bike (love) and glitter washi tape (love, love).

Inspiration:

I know Valentine’s Day is over, but I had one more card to share with you.  In fact, this card doesn’t really need to be a Valentine’s Day card.  You could just use it for telling someone you love them on any day.

The day before Valentine’s Day, my husband asked me if I had made a card for him to give me.  OK, really???  No, I really didn’t think of making myself a card … I was pretty busy making everyone else I know cards and gifts.  But, you have to understand that my husband is a CPA.  He’s super busy right now.  And, he did buy me a gift AND make me dinner on Valentine’s Day.  So, I really didn’t expect anything else.

But, I have to admit that he looked a little sad that he didn’t have a card to give me.  Most of the time, I have so many extra cards laying around that all he has to do is grab one and he’s good.  This year, I actually counted how many cards I needed and didn’t make any extras.  So, I decided to whip up a quick card for myself.  What the heck, right?

I’ve done some similar cards to this with the Bloomin’ Love photopolymer bundle.  I really like watercoloring, so I just decided to do it again but change up the colors a little and use a lot of the goodies from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.  That kit is chalked full of pretty little things that can really make a card look great in seconds.

I cut my lacy heart out of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, and I’m not sure if it came out well in the photos, but I actually layered some glimmer flowers on top of the heart for some added depth.  I just adore those enamel glitter dots so I used three to finish the flowers.

The pre-tied bow on a paper clip, string of pearls, Blushing Bride satin ribbon and sequin all come in the embellishment kit.  So, I stacked them and added a banner I created with a little scrap of watercolor paper and a Bloomin’ Love stamp.

Then to finish the card, I stamped some flowers from Bloomin’ Love and sponged the edges.  This whole card took me about a half an hour to make.  This is why I love embellishment kits.  When I’m in a hurry to just get something done, I can use the coordinating elements, not really have to think much, and come up with a great looking card.

Oh, and I loved my card:)  (Wink)
