Hope you’re having a great week. If you live in the Stockton, California area, I’m having a Stamp Club meeting this week. We’re looking for new members, as well as welcoming one-time guests. It’s a great night of paper crafting and fun. To learn more or sign up, leave me a comment below.
Just as a reminder, today at midnight (MST) is the deadline to sign up for Paper Pumpkin if you want to get the February kit. (Otherwise, your first kit will start in March.) Paper Pumpkin is so much fun. It’s a fun little box of crafts that arrives in your mailbox each month for only $19.95 plus tax. It’s always a surprise, but trust me you get a lot for your money and I know you’re going to love the projects. It could contain supplies to make cards, treats, decorations, even a calendar, you just never know.
The best thing is that during Sale-A-Bration, you can purchase a 3-month prepaid subscription for the reduced price of only $55! Not only will you receive 3 months of Paper Pumpkin fun, but you’ll also earn a free Sale-A-Bration item to boot!!!
While I don’t know what will be in the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, here’s a little sneak peak provided by Stampin’ Up! on Instagram. It looks super pretty…
Time is running out to get the three limited edition Sale-A-Bration items from the back of the catalog, including the Sky Is The Limit stamp set and Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper used on my card below, as well as the Hello stamp set! These three items are only available through next Monday, February 15th. You can earn one for free each time you spend $50.
I have to admit that I’m rather sad, because I absolutely adore the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper! Also, the Sky Is The Limit stamp set is perfect for guy cards, something I don’t have enough of! It’s come in real handy lately for making thank yous and Valentines for my favorite guys.
I love the old bi-plane in this stamp set. It reminds me of skywriting and planes dragging banners behind them. For my card today, I thought it would be fun to create one of those banners for my sentiment. I cut the banner out with a Bitty Banner Framelit Die, and then cut one side straight. The “LOVE” came from a LOVE YOU stamp from Bloomin’ Love. I inked the whole stamp and then covered the part I didn’t want with old washi tape before I stamped.
I stamped the plane with Basic Gray Archival ink on Whisper White paper. Then to color it, I filled my Aqua Painter with rubbing alcohol and dipped it into ink pooled on the lid of my Cherry Cobbler ink pad. By doing this, I could watercolor on Whisper White cardstock and achieve a blended effect.
For the background of my card, I used a piece of Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. I stamped it with some Timeless Textures stamps to rough it up, including adding some swirls, splatters, and scruffs. I just love that stamp set!
Then, I stamped the exhaust clouds with Soft Sky ink and colored them with a White Signo Uni-Ball Gel Pen.
The gray striped card stock in the very back is from the Neutrals Color Collection, a huge stack of 12″ x 12″ designer series papers including silver and gold!!! It’s an awesome paper stack.
