Today, I have Weekly Deals to share and a Christmas card that I made with the October Paper Pumpkin kit.

It’s already November!!!  Christmas will be here before we know it.  So, for the whole month of November, I’ll be sharing Christmas cards on my blog every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  That’s at least 12 different cards, so hold on to your hats and get ready to be inspired!

Flashback – 25 Years Ago Today!

However, before I get to anything else, I wanted to share something exciting.  Today, my husband and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary!!!  Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s been that long.  I thought it would be fun to share some pictures from our wedding day.

We got married in Yosemite in the little church in the valley, and our reception was at the Ahwahnee Hotel.  It was a beautiful day, with lovely Fall colors.  I can’t believe how young we look!

The photographer drove around with us before the wedding ceremony to get some amazingly beautiful shots.

You may wonder why we choose Yosemite to get married.  Well, we both love to hike and cross country ski, and because we live only a couple hours away, we spent a lot of time in Yosemite while we were dating.  Plus, I’ve always loved Yosemite.  Every time I drive into the valley, I’m in awe of it’s beauty.  It literally gives me chills.  Right before we got engaged, we saw a wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel, and we both looked at each other as it dawned on us that it would be the perfect place to get married.

Here we are with my mom and dad.  It’s so weird to think that they’re younger than I am now!

OK, don’t laugh at the hairstyle and dress!  This was 1990.  Princess Diana set the trend for big, puffy sleeves, so this dress was pretty stylish at the time!

Ah, good memories!

Paper Pumpkin Inspiration:

The last Paper Pumpkin Kit was amazing!  It ranked up there as one of my all time favorites.  What’s even better is that because of your help, Stampin’ Up! donated $36,378 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a world-class organization dedicated to ending breast cancer!  Thank you!!!

If you’ve considered subscribing, now’s the time to do it.  If you sign up by the 10th of the month, you’ll receive the current month’s kit.  I’m predicting that November will be another good one.  (It’s always a surprise, but the past two years, it’s been holiday related, so ….  I’m thinking something good and really useful.)  To learn more, click on the Paper Pumpkin Tab on my blog, and to subscribe click HERE.

Plus, as an added perk to my subscribers, each month you’ll receive a PDF document containing at least 8 tutorials for alternative projects you can make with the kits!  I’m part of a group of demonstrators that get together each month to create this document.  All the projects are exclusive to our subscribers.  You won’t see any of the projects on our blogs or any social media sites.  For October, we included 12 tutorials!!!  All of this is FREE when you subscribe with me as your demonstrator.  Here’s a sneak peek of some of the October tutorials:

Last Saturday, I posted some alternative projects that you could make with the October Paper Pumpkin kit.  But today, I’m really changing things up.  By simply changing the colors to traditional holiday ones and adding a Christmas stamp, I used the October kit to make a Christmas card!

The banner, stamps (except ‘Tis the Season which is from the Oh, What Fun photopolymer stamp set), gold stickers, and Very Vanilla twine are all from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.  My favorite thing about Paper Pumpkin is all the unique, exclusive stamps and embellishments that you get in the kits.  The October kit included 13 different stamps and they’re all so beautiful and well coordinated.  And, I love the gold stickers and Very Vanilla twine!

I cut the labels out of Gold Glimmer paper and Very Vanilla card stock using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.  Then, I embossed all the stamps in gold.  The flowers are embossed on watercolor paper so I could paint them with an Aqua Painter and then cut them out.

The background of this card is made from the Softly Falling Textured Impression Embossing Folder.

In addition to the October Paper Pumpkin Kit, I used the following supplies on my card:
