There’s only three more days left of Sale-A-Bration! Be sure to take advantage of these last few days to earn a free product with each $50 purchase.
Today for inspiration, I made a box for my daughter for her upcoming 18th birthday. You know the saying, “Good things come in little packages,” well this box is little (only 2-1/2″ cubed) and she’s going to be getting something really good inside:)
To make the box, I used an 8″ x 8″ piece of Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration when you make a qualifying purchase of $50 before March 31) and the handy, dandy Gift Box Punch Board. This punch board is great, because it allows me to turn any DSP into a custom sized decorative box with sides ranging from 1-3/4″ to 4″. I love being able to make beautiful gift boxes like this!
Before assembling my box, I used a Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to color in some of the circles on the DSP.
To create the flower, I cut 16 layers of flowers from the Cherry On Top Cotton Paper using the Bouquet BigZ die cut. Because this is a BigZ die, and I was using thin paper, I was able to run at least 4 layers of paper through the Big Shot at the same time. (I probably could have done more!) I did the same thing for the centers. However, when it came to the Glitter Paper, I ran those leaves through one layer at a time. Glitter paper is a lot thicker and I wanted nice precise cuts.
I punched a 1-1/4″ Circle from scratch paper as a base for my stems and flower, and then used hot glue to adhere them all together. That way, I could easily attach them to the top of my ribbon with a little hot glue, and the belly band can still slide on and off the box for access to what’s inside.
This Cotton Paper makes gorgeous paper flowers. It’s super thin and easy to curl with a bone folder. The results are delicate and feminine.

Talk about a coincidence, the Gift Box Punch Board is on sale this next week for 25% off! How did I know that??? To be perfectly honest, I didn’t know Stampin’ Up! was going to do that, but hey, now you’ve got a great idea of what you can do with this great product! Another favorite of mine on sale this next week are those pretty Metal Rimmed Pearls. Love them!!
Have a wonderful and creative week!
