Tin of Tags!

The Tin of Tags Project Kit on page 33 of the Holiday Catalog is AMAZING!!!  It includes supplies to make 30 Christmas tags.  I don’t know about you, but this kit is right up my alley, because I love to make all my tags ahead of time.  That way, in the frenzy of Christmas gift wrapping, I can just grab one and keep wrapping.

This project kit coordinates with the Tin of Tags stamp set, which includes all the great sentiments that fit on the tags.

But what I really love are all the great embellishments that come in the kit.  For example, I love these darling tassels and the thin washi tape on the tags below.

Another thing I adore is the watercolor style of the backgrounds.  They are SO pretty.

There are silver accents on many of the tags, so I decided to emboss some of my sentiments in silver.

Don’t you just love the wooden accents and silver foil snowflakes?

I thought these next tags were very clever.  The two tags are simply held together at the top, so they shift and move, allowing you to see through the top tag.

These wooden snowflakes are gorgeous!  However, a word of caution … be very, very gentle when you punch them out as they are super delicate.  I adhered mine with Snail adhesive, but you could also use a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I made all 30 of my tags in a couple hours one afternoon.  For most of them, it’s as simple as stamp, embellish, and add a tie.

On these next tags, I added a layer of Vellum paper.  I also added some clear embossing powder on top of the Real Red ink to give my tag a little dimension.

Remember when you’re making these tags to stamp all the backs with the to and from stamps.  I placed both of them on one block to make it easy to stamp all at once.

Want some bigger tags?  Try adding the standard tags to some decorative paper and creating a larger tag with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  I made these with 2″ strips of card stock.

I was a little generous with the twine on my tags, so I ended up running out.  But, no problem.  I just added some Old Olive and Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine to these tags.

All the supplies for the Tin of Tags comes in this adorable tin.  It’s perfect for storing your finished tags.  It would also make an incredible gift!!!

You’ve got to try this great project kit.  It’s my personal fav!
