#TGIFC236 – Color Challenge

Hello and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, we have a color challenge that includes Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, and Calypso Coral. It just so happens that my 29th wedding anniversary is coming up in a few days! We were married at the little chapel in Yosemite Valley, and one of the things I remember most about that beautiful day were the gorgeous Fall colors. This week’s color… Read More »

Party ‘Til The Cows Come Home!

Our son turned 25 yesterday!!! No way … a quarter century? It’s crazy how quickly the years go by! I’m super proud of the young man he has become, but I can’t help missing that sweet little boy too… My sister took this precious photo during a vacation in Maui just after Samuel had turned two. Maybe I’m feeling a little nostalgic, because I decided to make a goofy, fun… Read More »

Masculine Valentines

After all the ultra feminine Valentine’s Day projects I’ve been posting, I bet you’re ready for an idea for those wonderful guys in your life. Today, I’m sharing cards I designed for my husband and son. They are essentially the same card, but with different sentiments. I used the Meant to Be and coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits. (You can buy these products in a bundle for 10% off.) At… Read More »

It’s almost the Night Before Christmas!  That’s perfect timing for the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog  to feature the Merry Christmas To All stamp set!  This is one of my favorite and most well-used bundles of the season.  I absolutely love the font and all the word combinations. To see all the designers’ projects using this stamp set, click on the graphic above.  I actually created three versions of my… Read More »

Waterfront & New Colors!

Today, I have one more card to share that I created for one of my eye doctors.  This card is for the retinal specialist.  He was a great advocate in helping to find a surgeon to operate on my eye.  I’m so very grateful!!! I just got my pre-order of new products from the 2018 Annual Catalog!!!  It’s so exciting!!!  Seriously, I think there’s nothing better than being inspired with… Read More »

21st Birthday Brew

My daughter’s boyfriend turned 21 this month!  I wanted to make a special card for him, because that’s a big milestone.  He’s a great kid … smart, kind, plays football for the University of Redlands, and he’s is also a fraternity brother.  So, I thought beer bottles would be very apropos.  (In moderation of course!)  The Bubble Over suite of products was an obvious choice. I really wanted to try… Read More »

#TGIFC150 Sketch Challenge

I made two similar… Read More »

Masculine Valentine

Continuing with my Valentine’s Day series, today I’m sharing a design for a masculine card that you can make with the Sure Do Love You Bundle.  I made this card for both my husband and son.  (Shh!  They’ll never know they got the same card!!!) At first glance, the Sure Do Love You stamps and coordinating Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies look very girly and traditional.  But included in… Read More »

“Snowy” Waterfront

Today, I have one more card featuring the Waterfront stamp set.  I just love this stamp set and can’t stop using it.  There are SO MANY possibilities and I’ve seen such incredible inspiration on social media.  Every time I set it aside, I see something else I’ve just got to try!!! Up until now, I hadn’t used the pine tree stamps to create a mountain scene.  I recently visited my mom… Read More »

Patriotic Sympathy

Sympathy cards are so hard to do!  I usually don’t have many (if any) on hand, so when I make them, it’s usually because of an immediate need.  Then, it’s hard to get creative when you’re feeling sad.  I really need to start making two at a time, so I have one left in inventory. Last week, a very dear friend of my husband’s passed away.  He was simply an… Read More »

Half Full & Stampin’ Blends

I just love the Half Full stamp set.  I love the sayings, the fonts, and the stamps as well.  Plus, it’s a PERFECT stamp set for playing with the new Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers!!! These markers are currently only available to demonstrators for a short time, so we can practice using them, perfect our techniques, and get ready to teach classes.  But, they will be available to the public later… Read More »

Patriotic Shaving Cream Cards

Last weekend, my husband asked me to make some “patriotic” cards.  He needed a sympathy card for a veteran friend who had recently passed away and a thank you card for another veteran.  (I decided to make an extra too, just to have it on hand.) I can’t take ANY credit for this, because I totally CASEd it from Kim Jolley’s website.  She’s the one who came up with the… Read More »

Gone Fishing – #GDP103

This week, the Global Design Project is having a theme challenge to design projects “For Him.”  Typically, I’m not very good at masculine cards.  But, this challenge came at the perfect time, because this month is filled with guy birthdays including my husband, son, and nephew.  Click on the photo below to go to the website and see all the great inspiration from the designers. I decided to use the challenge… Read More »
