That means I’m already starting to design Christmas cards for my… Read More »

Christmas Picture Letter

When I send out my Christmas cards each year, I like to include a “picture” letter highlighting our past year.  It’s a fun way to share some key pictures, add a little humor, and bring friends up-to-date without getting too wordy. This year, I created my letter with My Memories Suite, and it was surprisingly quick to pull together.  I keep all my photos on my computer sorted by date,… Read More »

Watercolor Block Background

I saw a card on Lisa Young’s Blog that inspired me to create one of my own.  This card uses a wonderful technique to create a watercolor background using an acrylic block and markers. To create my background, I used an E sized acrylic block.  Make sure your acrylic block is nice and clean.  I used StazOn Cleaner on mine.  The solvent in that cleaner is great for removing tape… Read More »

Winter Ski Watercolor

I went a little crazy designing my card today.  It uses two different stamp sets (Winter Wishes and Wonderland), as well as a background stamp (Watercolor Wash).  It was one of those cards where I just kept grabbing different things.  But, sometimes that’s the way things work out. When I first saw the Winter Wishes stamp set, I visualized this card.  Those skis just called out to me.  I totally… Read More »
