Sent With Love

I’m working on finishing up the Valentine care packages that I’m going to send to my kids at college.  They love getting these packages, especially all the little “Mom” crafty things I put inside that make them realize I’m thinking of them while they’re away.  (I’m sure all the chocolate goes a long way too!)

This little gift bag is a variation on one I made for my Stamp Club a couple weeks ago.  I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the bag out of Irresistibly Floral Designer Specialty Paper.  This paper is great, because it’s embossed in clear so it’s super easy to create a emboss resist technique.

Before I assembled the bag, I used a Sponge Brayer to add Pool Party ink to the bag.  I started at the bottom, rolling horizontal across the bag, and slowly going up.  I just kept doing that until I had a nice ombre look, fading to white on the top.

I also used a Sweet & Sassy Framelit heart to cut out a window from my bag before assembling it.  (My Stamp Club will laugh at this step, because I made a HUGE mistake during class and forgot to tell them to cut the heart out before assembling their bags.  I had to help several of them to de-assemble their bags so we could go backwards!!!  Whoopsie!)  After cutting the heart, I added a Window Sheet to the inside of the bag for a see-through window.

I decorated my bag with lots of Sealed With Love stamps and Love Notes Framelits die cuts.  I absolutely adore these cute little envelopes you can create with the framelits.  I cut one out of Sending Love Designer Series Paper and the other out of Pool Party card stock.

To finish off my box, I decorated the window with a Sending Love Embellishment and then I cut out one of the cute Love Notes Framelits arrows from Red Glimmer Paper.  The small heart is another die cut from this set.   My daughter is going to love this!!!
