By | December 31, 2015

The start of Sale-A-Bration is right around the corner.  It’s so exciting!  This is when you can earn free products every time you spend $50 at Stampin’ Up!  This includes online orders, workshops, and clubs.  Every time you spend $50 between January 5 and March 31, 2016 you can pick a free item out of the Sale-A-Bration catalog, and there are so many great products to pick from!!!

Today, I’m featuring two different Sale-A-Bration products on my card:  1) Botanicals For You stamp set and 2) Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.

I love these two products and they coordinate beautifully. You’ll also discover that they coordinate with several products in the Occasions catalog, including those seen on pages 26 and 27 as well as page 41.

The big huge “Just For You” stamp is perfect for an emboss resist technique.  I stamped it with Versamark ink on Shimmery White paper.  Then, I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Afterwards, I watercolored right over the words with both Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz ink, and the clear embossing resists the paint.  This is one of my favorite techniques.

I stamped the little flowers on some scrap Shimmery White paper and cut them out by hand.  Then, I adhered them with glue dots.

Did you notice the beautiful vellum in the background?  The Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack includes 24 sheets (3 each of 8 designs).  They all make beautiful accents to any card.

To complete my card, I wrapped some 5/8″ Organza Ribbon around the whole card and tied a bow.  (This has the added benefit of also securing the vellum.)  Then, I added several pearls.

I like the way the white and green background really makes the colorful flowers pop on my card.
