Project Life – Moments Like These

By | November 2, 2015

Today, I have another Project Life page to share from our trip to Maui this summer.  I’ve been working on this book for a while, and it’s getting to the point where I’m starting to look at how all the pages will fit together, and in particular, which pages will appear next to each other.  Whether or not I have enough photos for a two page spread, I want my individual pages to coordinate.  So for example, I’d like pages that sit next to each other to use the same card collections, or at the very least to have similar color combinations.

My page today will be sitting next to another page from our visit to Haleakala Crater that uses Moments Like These pocket cards and Playful Photo Overlays.  So, when I went to design this page, I drew from those same collections.  This provides a nice continuity to the pages and makes the whole book looked planned out, which it really wasn’t.

Up until now, I’ve been scrapbooking one page or event at a time.  I look at the photos, and use the colors and/or theme to select pocket cards and embellishments.  But now, I’m filling in the rest of the photos and pages to make the whole book flow.  Hopefully, that makes sense.

I really liked the checklist pocket card on the top left.  It was perfect to describe our sunrise visit to the top of Haleakala and the glorious view.  At first, I had just filled out the check boxes, but when I went to write up this post, I realized that there was a place for the date as well.  So, I went back and added that in.  There isn’t any journaling on this page, because it’s included on the adjacent page, so I thought a date was a nice addition.

As usual, I completed my memory page digitally, but the same Moments Like These Card Collection is available to create a real life physical Project Life pages as well.  It’s really a matter of preference.  You can find a whole line of Project Life memory page products at my online store, or if you prefer to use digital software, all of Stampin’ Up!’s Project Life Card Collections are available to purchase at Becky Higgin’s digitalprojectlife.com.  In fact, I just noticed that they recently added the Hello December 2015 Edition!
