Project Life – Haleakala Continued

By | May 2, 2015

National Scrapbook Day is tomorrow!  To celebrate, I completed a two page spread of our trip to Haleakala Crater in 2012 using the Let’s Get Away Project Life Collection.  I posted the second page on Thursday, and here’s the first page.   I love the colors in the Let’s Get Away Project Life Collection.  They went perfectly with the red earth from the volcano, as well as the pretty silversword plant we saw growing up there.

Of course, my daughter always has to do something funny when I’m taking pictures.  She was up there looking around at the vast open sky, and turned around and told me to take a picture of her flying like Superman!  Cute idea, and it worked!!!  The other photo is one of my favorites of my husband and daughter.

For this page, I used the Little Letters Framelits to cut out my letters from Calypso Coral card stock.  The Let’s Get Away Accessory Kit comes with sticker letters in black and Bermuda Bay, but I wanted to stick with the coral tones for my page.  The little banner that says Picture Perfect is from the Accessory Kit, and so is the cute washi tape.
