One More Paper Pumpkin

By | May 30, 2015

I have one more graduation card to show you today!  For this one, I used my May 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit (and a few extra items!)  It’s so easy to use this kit for any type of celebratory card.  It’s got great festive stamps and colors.

I used the Island Indigo card base, Bermuda Bay designer paper layer, balloon, banner, “Celebrate” stamp, and thick Coral / White Baker’s Twine from the Paper Pumpkin kit on my card.

All the rest of the designer papers on this card come from the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is so, so pretty because it’s pre-embossed in gold!  Therefore, it just made sense to match the “Celebrate” stamp with gold embossing and to add a little Gold Foil paper.

Do you notice all the various sizes of banners on this card?  I made them with the new Triple Banner Punch!  Oh, I just love this punch!!!  It works very similar to the tag topper punches, but this one works on three sizes of strips of paper, including 1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″.   In fact, I also used it to make the small 1/2″ banner as well!  I just centered the strip of paper inside the smallest setting.

Before I adhered my “Celebrate” banner, I curled it slightly with a bone folder.

Prior to creating the tassel, I divided the Coral twine from the White twine.  Then, I doubled up two pieces to make loops and tied another piece around the top to form the tassel.  Finally, I frayed all the ends.

Lastly, I added some individual Bermuda Bay sequins just for a little dazzle.
