I got my Paper Pumpkin box in the mail earlier this week! It brings a smile to my face, because it’s always a surprise, and I LOVE surprises!!! I had just spent the whole day cleaning the house and doing laundry, and when I saw that box, it was like getting a little present as a reward.
This month’s Paper Pumpkin includes supplies to make 10 Holiday cards! How amazing is that? I mean who doesn’t need 10 Holiday cards this time of year? I got all the supplies pictured below for just $19.95! It includes beautiful red envelopes, two different designs of card bases, six photopolymer stamps, a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Spot ink pad, die cut layers, white and red pearls, linen thread, dimensionals and glue dots. This kit was chalked full of great items to make amazing cards.
I really loved the colors and designs of this month’s projects. These first two cards show the cards you can make straight out of the kit. The only thing I added was a little Christmas bling — after I stamped the greetings with Cherry Cobbler, I poured some Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder over the ink and heat embossed it. This adds a pretty shimmer.
For these next two cards, I just stepped it up a bit by adding some layers and Gold Cording Trim. For the card on the left, I added some Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum and for the card on the right, I added some Gold Glimmer paper.
I really liked the look of the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Pack, so I tried different designs. I also changed things up by stamping and embossing the JOY in gold to match the vellum.
For the card on the left, I had an extra mistletoe die cut, so I tried layering them.
For this next one, I added a fun bow with Gold Cording Trim.
Then, I switching things up again by adding some Gold Metallic Thread and a Home for Christmas Designer Button.
I did the same thing on this card, but with different colors.
Next, I used some Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon.
Finally, I ran out of supplies and only had the stamps left! So for this next card, I created a wreath out of the holly stamp. I started by drawing a circle lightly with pencil, and then I stamped the holly stamp around the circle with Mossy Meadow ink on Shimmery White paper. Then, I stamped several more on some scrap paper and cut them out. I used an Aqua Painter to watercolor all the leaves.
I adhered the extra leaves to form layers and build my wreath. Then, since I had used up all my pretty red pearls from the kit, I grabbed my old Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Marker and colored some Basic Pearls. Surprisingly, my old marker was still juicy and worked like a champ!
I finished off the card by adding some Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum, rounding the corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch, and adding a greeting cut with a Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits Dies and a little gold embossing. I love this card!!!
