Do you ever need a quick tag for a gift? Use your stamping supplies! Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy to whip up a cute tag. Here’s a couple I made recently.
This first one is for my son’s girlfriend. I wanted to make it cute and girly, so I grabbed my Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
I made the tag itself out of a Silver Foil Sheet so it would match the ribbon. To create tags with a tag topper punches, simply cut a strip of paper either 2″, 1-1/2″, or 1″ wide. For this one, I cut my strip 2″ wide. Simply insert the strip in the punch and punch the top (hole and all!!!) Then, you can trim the bottom end to create any length you want.
Next, I layered some designer series paper and stamped my images, and voila — one tag done.
Next, I made a tag for my son. For this one, I used the Watercolor Words stamp set and circle framelits. To stamp the image, I first inked up the stamp with Lemon Lime Twist, then I used a sponge to add Island Indigo ink directly onto the stamp on the bottom portion. Give the stamp a little huff, and then stamp for a nice variegated look.
Next, I used a Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to add splatter. Take the cap off of the brush side, and then flick the brush against the inside portion of the cap towards your paper. It creates a nice subtle splatter.
Finally, I added a few Enamel Shapes for just a little dimension. I love how I can use Stampin’ Up! products to create custom tags to match my wrapping paper and ribbon. It ends up looking so coordinated and fancy, when in fact, it was sooo easy!!!
