This offer is only good until next Wednesday, June 10th. But what’s really great is that if you sign up by June 10th, you meet the deadline to receive the June kit! If you’ve ever considered trying out Paper Pumpkin, now is the perfect time. Click HERE to sign up now.

Each month, you’ll receive exclusive photopolymer stamps, at least one Stampin’ Spot ink pad in a color that does not repeat for one year, and all the supplies you need to create the projects of the month except adhesive. Projects are a surprise each month (which is half the fun!) and can include greeting cards (up to 8), gift bags, treat holders, … you never know. And, you get loads of supplies, oftentimes including exclusive embellishments. Plus, each month I provide alternative ideas for projects on my blog AND I provide my subscribers exclusive written tutorials for eight or more alternative projects!!! It’s a great monthly escape. Seriously, you gotta try this!
For Technique Thursday, I have one more card created from the new Sprinkles of Life stamp set. I know I’ve focused on this stamp set a lot this week, (especially considering that I also featured it on my projects for Stamp Club tonight!) However, it’s just such an awesome stamp set. There are so many possibilities! Every time I finished a card, I looked at the stamp set and thought, oh but I didn’t use that stamp yet, and another idea popped in my head!
This card is definitely one of my favorites created with this set, and while it’s very subtle, I used a watercolor wash for the background, which is my technique of the day. I love all the flowers, and I love the watercoloring!
It may be difficult to tell in the photos, but I used Shimmery White paper for the card base, and two layers on this card. This paper works beautifully with watercoloring! To create the background, I used an Aqua Painter to lightly brush clear water over the entire background, except keeping a little border dry. Then, before the water dried, I added some Pool Party ink to the edges and blended towards the center. It’s so simple, but looks so pretty.
I embossed all the flowers, basket and greeting in gold. Then, I used an Aqua Painter to add color inside the embossing. This makes it super easy to stay in the lines (if that’s what you want to do.) After I was done, I added a little touch of Pool Party around the flowers.
For the basket, I embossed on Kraft card stock.
Did you notice the beautiful gold designer paper on this card? It all comes from the Neutrals Color Collection. I bought this new 12 x 12 paper stack during the demonstrator pre-order, but I didn’t realize until I went to use it that it not only includes all the neutral colors, but it also includes gold and silver!!! Oh my gosh, it is so pretty in real life! (Of course, leave it to me to feature one of the couple new items in the 2015-2016 annual catalog that Stampin’ Up! had to pull from its online ordering. Apparently, the sizing of this paper may be a little off, so Stampin’ Up! is diligently working on correcting the matter to make this paper stack available to order ASAP.)
To create my banners, I cut strips of different gold Neutrals Color Collection papers measuring 5/8″ and then used the Banner Punch to notch the ends. (Remember to feed the paper in through the back of the punch!)
Supplies used on my card:
Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House for every purchase of the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Not only do you get this awesome stamp set, but you help contribute to an awesome cause! This set is available now at my online store.
