I haven’t posted a while, because I’ve been so busy preparing for Christmas. Now that it’s here, I can actually relax a little and share what I’ve been doing. I have two projects to share today, and then I’ll post another soon (I promise!)
During the Online Extravaganza at Thanksgiving, I picked up a Gift Bag Punch Board. I’ve always wanted one, and when it went on sale, I couldn’t resist. For first time users like myself, I suggest going to Stampin’ Up!’s YouTube Channel and watching the how to video. They have GREAT videos, and if you’re like me, it’s so much easier to follow video instructions than written ones. I placed my phone next to me, with the video queued up, and followed along step-by-step. This method makes it super easy to learn.
I used some Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper for my bag, and then decorated it using the Christmas Pines stamp set and Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies. (These two products come in a bundle for 10% off.) I LOVE the colors of this paper! The combination of Emerald Envy and Mint Macaroon is so pretty.
Metallic embossing adds a beautiful shine to holiday gifts, as well as a Christmas Trinket Embellishment.
This next gift would work great for New Year’s as well as Christmas. (Just switch up the sentiment.)
I used the Cheerful Tags Framelits to decorate a bottle of my favorite local sparkling wine for each of my step-nieces. I used some silver wrapping paper and ribbon that I’d purchased at Costco to wrap the bottle and tie on the 6″ x 17″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag. Then, I decided to make this gift super elegant and stick with a simple silver and gold theme.
I cut out the tag from Silver Foil Paper and folded it. Then, to cover the wrong side of the tag that showed, I cut half of the label out of Gold Foil Paper and layered on the bottom section. On top of that, I layered the swirly die cut from Silver Glimmer Paper. I love the way the swirls in the die cut matched my Costco ribbon!
Next, I stamped and embossed my sentiment in silver and cut it out with my current favorite … the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. But before adding the label, I wrapped some Gold Baker’s Twine around my fingers and adhered it with some Fast Fuse. I’ve discovered that I absolutely love Fast Fuse Adhesive, especially for gifts! It’s super secure, so little pieces don’t get accidentally knocked off.
Finally, I used some new Sale-A-Bration ribbon to attach my label to the sparkling wine. You are going to LOVE this ribbon!!! It’s so soft and pretty, and comes in a two pack with both silver and gold spools. Starting January 4, 2017, you can earn this ribbon (or one of several other amazing Sale-A-Bration products) for free every time you spend $50. This promotion goes on until March 31, 2017!!!
