Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration! It’s the last day to earn a free Sale-A-Bration product each time you spend $50. (For a list of the remaining Sale-A-Bration products you can earn, see the bottom of this post.)
I thought I’d made one last Sale-A-Bration card. My card today features the Pedal Pusher stamp set, Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack, and Metallics Glitter Tape, some of my absolute favorites.
I created this card based on a sketch challenge provided by the Creative Team. Starting with a sketch is a great way to get your creative juices flowing. I frequently post sketches by the Creative Team that you can collect and use for inspiration. Another great resource for sketches is Pinterest!
I used a layer of Botanical Gardens Vellum paper for the background of my card. This paper is so delicate and pretty. The paper stack includes lots of great designs. When I punched out my butterflies, I used a different piece of vellum for each one. It’s a little hard to see on the photo, but quite visible in real life.
For the horizontal strip, I used some Silver Metallics Glitter Tape. I love this tape so much!!! I hope Stampin’ Up! includes it in the new Annual Catalog, because it’s just so awesome. For the silver butterflies, I placed a couple strips of this tape side by side on top of Whisper White cardstock, and then I punched them out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. It worked great! I pieced the tape in the middle of the butterflies and then added the little strips of Pearl Basic Jewels to cover it up.
I stamped the bike, basket, and food with Basic Black Archival ink and then used Stampin’ Write Markers and Blender Pens to color everything in with the following colors: Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, and Soft Suede.
Did you know that you can rub a Blender Pen against the brush end of these markers to pick up color and paint? Buying markers and Blender Pens is a super cost effective way to color stamped images with lots of colors. I remember when I first started stamping and collecting products, that was my cheap method for coloring.
Supplies used on my card: (Unfortunately, it appears that the Metallics Glitter Tape is no longer available.)
These first projects feature the Botanicals For You stamp set and coordinating products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.
You can find all these in cards in past posts if you want to learn the details on how to create them.
Next is the pretty Flowering Fields stamp set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.
I used that same stamp set to create this gift box.
And here’s a box I made with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.
This box features the Perfect Pairings stamp set.
This big envelope features the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. While it was initially only suppose to be available until February 15, 2016, as of last night it was still available!!! This paper was one of my favorite products of the sale, because I love the watercolored look.
Here’s another card that I made using the Pedal Pusher stamp set.
This card features the What I Love stamp set, another one of my favorites:)
Change the colors and you can create a whole different look.
Here’s one of the newer Sale-A-Bration products, the Party Pants stamp set, which coordinates with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.
As of last night, here’s a list of the Sale-A-Bration products that were still available to earn. You can earn one product each time you spend $50 today, while supplies last:
