Envelope Card

Happy Mother’s Day!!!  Hope all the mothers out there are enjoying a great day with their families and feeling lots of love!

For my project today, I tried something different.  I’m not really sure if I love it, but it’s different, so I decided to post it.  I made a card out of an envelope created with the Envelope Punch Board and Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  It’s got a belly band to break up the busy design, and then a pull card with the greeting.

The Envelop Punch Board comes with measurements on how big to cut your paper depending on what size envelope you want to make.  I made an envelope measuring a standard card size of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Then, I flipped one flap of the envelope backwards, so I would have an opening at the top.

To further break up the design of the paper, I cut narrow strips of Night of Navy card stock 1/4″ wide, and then used the Envelope Punch Board to punch curves on one end, so I could line the top sections with a border.

Then, I stamped and embossed the So In Love flower in white on Night of Navy cardstock.  To paint it, I used a little re-inker, some water, and my Aqua Painter.

Finally, I created the pull card by folding a label I had cut with the Tags and Labels Framelits over a strip of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the pull card using the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.

I think this would be a fun card to making using different designer series papers, what about you?
