The Love Blossom Embellishment Kit is packed full of fun items to use on your handmade projects. I love it when Stampin’ Up! puts together kits like this, because you can really do no wrong. Everything coordinates and looks great.
This particular kit coordinates with the Love Blossoms suite of products, including the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack that I used on my card below. The kit includes pearl trim, satin ribbon, paper clips with pre-tied bows, sequins, wood veneer pieces, enamel glitter dots, and gold foil heart doiles. You can get all these items at my online store for only $12.00.
To create my background, I used the largest Squares Collection Framelit Die with a scalloped edge to cut strips out of various sheets from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. The only tricky part was the bottom layer. Since the die cut is a square measuring around 5″, I ran the paper through the die cut a second time to cut a scallop on the bottom. It took a little manipulating to line up the scallops just right, but it wasn’t too hard.
The rest of the card was a snap. I embossed the greeting in gold on Whisper White paper, and then cut it out with a 2″ Circle punch.
Then, it was just a matter of layering all those wonderful embellishments from the kit underneath and on top of my greeting. The strip of pearls is a little bulky, so when I placed the circle punch over them, I stacked two dimensionals on top of each other for some extra height. While I love all the embellishments in this kit, one of my favorites are the enamel glitter dots! They come in two sizes and they’re just so subtle and pretty.
