It’s been an exciting week! First, I had my Stamp Club on Thursday night (which I always love.) I have so much fun getting together with these nice ladies once a month to create. Then, I went home to realize my computer monitor bit the dust. It’s frustrating to realize how much I rely on my computer! No way to upload and edit pictures, which means no blog updates. Yikes!
So, off to Costco I went and found a really nice monitor. After some initial challenges getting it up and running, and a very nice brother-in-law to the rescue, I’m back in action!!! Yay!
I’m working on my Easter cards now. I recently got an adorable new bundle including the Basket Bunch stamp set and Basket Builder Framelits Dies. There are lots of little pieces in each to build adorable Easter scenes.
For my first card, I decided I would simply stamp with Basic Black Archival ink and watercolor all the pieces. I used a Stitched Shape Oval die cut as my background and stamped the flowers directly onto the Shimmery White paper. For all the other pieces, I stamped on scrap pieces of Shimmery White paper and then cut them out with the coordinating die cuts.
For all the watercoloring, I used an Aqua Painter dipped in ink. I squeezed my ink pads to pool ink in the lids. To ensure my colors stayed light, I mixed the colors with plenty of water and then went back over some areas to add shading.
I stuck with a light palette of Subtles Collection colors, which are listed below under the supplies.
For my banner, I stamped on a narrow strip of Sahara Sand cardstock, and then I used a Bone Folder to curl the banner before adhering it with some Mini Glue Dots.

And … speaking of Egg-stra Special, I just emailed out an exclusive PDF of alternate project ideas for the March Paper Pumpkin kit to my Paper Pumpkin customers. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the super fun and creative projects. My Paper Pumpkin customers get this tutorial free each month just for signing up with me as their demonstrator.
Next month’s kit is going to be a special one. Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 4th anniversary. Each subscriber will receive a special gift in their kit!!! And, that’s not all. The kit was designed by our CEO Sara Douglas. I can’t wait to see what’s inside. Subscribe by April 10th to receive this special kit.
That’s it for now. I’ll have more Easter ideas this week.
