For my inspiration today, I have a Valentine’s Day card using the Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You Thinlits Dies. OK, you’re going to laugh here, but I made this card for my husband to give to me!!! My husband is a CPA, so he’s super busy this time of year. The other night, he was looking at all my Valentine’s cards and jokingly asked me if I had made one for myself. So today I thought, what the heck, I’ll just go ahead and do it. I picked the Crazy About You stamp set, because he better be after this!
The Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You Thinlits Dies are designed to work together and are paired in a 15% off bundle. The stamps are available all three styles – photopolymer, clear mount or wood mount. I choose the photopolymer, because I love being able to see where I’m placing word stamps so they’re straight every time.
One of my favorite parts of this card is the “you” from the Hello You Thinlits Dies. All of those dies are so delicate and pretty, and they work wonderfully with all the words from the Crazy About You stamps. After I photographed my card, I decided this card would look even better if I had added a couple staples to the banner with the “LOVE” on it, so I’m going to do that.
I got the idea of layering the flower from the Occasions Catalog. I stamped the flower four times and cut out each layer by hand. I placed a Stampin’ Dimensional between each layer to really make the flower pop. To achieve the variegated look of the flower, I first inked it with Rose Red, then I lightly sponged around the edges of the stamp with Blackberry Bliss ink before I stamped.
I used several items from the Artisan Embellishment kit on this card. I LOVE that kit. I mostly bought it to use on my Stamps In the Mail cards for this month, but I couldn’t resist using a few pieces here as well. I really love the colors of the items in this kit, which include Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red and Sahara Sand. Therefore, I used those same colors on this card.
The Artisan Embellishment Kit includes the pearls, doily, and Rose Red Crocheted Trim. I added a Something Borrowed Embellishment and a little piece of White Jute Ribbon. That ribbon is 1-1/4″ wide, so I simply trimmed off a narrow piece for my card.

What do you think of my card? I’d love to hear your comments. Is there something you’d like to see me demonstrate? Let me know, and you may see it in a future post.
