It’s Paper Pumpkin time! Yippee!!! I’m always so excited to open my box and see what’s inside. I had looked at a sneak peek of the stamp set for this month, and knew I loved it, so I was super excited to see what else was included in the kit.
For those of you who don’t know, Paper Pumpkin is a subscription service that provides a fun little “craft in a box” each month. For only $19.95 a month (plus tax), you can receive your surprise box each month. For more information, click on the Paper Pumpkin tab on my blog. To sign up for the next kit, click HERE. Also, there is a promotion going on right now for new subscribers! Use the BOGO promo code and get your second month FREE! (Read details at mypaperpumpkin.com to understand the fine print.)
Here’s the contents of this month’s box. It includes enough supplies to make 3 small, 3 medium, and 3 large cards, including envelops. It also includes some 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon (one of my favorites!), some Early Espresso Baker’s Twine (an exclusive only available in this kit), darling wooden flower and leaf embellishments, small clothespins, flower die cuts, glue dots, dimensionals, all sorts of layering pieces and labels, and an Early Espresso Stampin’ Spot ink pad.
The kit also includes this beautiful stamp set. I LOVE this stamp set!!!! I love the fonts and I really love the flower and leaf design stamps!!!
If you simply follow the instructions, here’s the large card you can make with the kit. (I also added some stamps to my envelope.)
And here’s the small card. It forms into an envelope and then you can slip in this cute index card to write a note.
Finally, here’s the medium sized card. I think this one’s my favorite. I like the Kraft background paper.
I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of the color Cajun Craze. Sorry, can’t help it … I’m just not a big rust fan. So for my next card, I used pieces from the kit to create a medium card, with very little of the Cajun Craze color. I really love the brush stroked cardstock for the medium cards. It’s so pretty!
For my last card, I created something entirely unique. I used Basic Black Archival ink to stamp the flowers all over the Kraft piece from the kit. Then, I used a Blender Pen to color it with Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, and Delightful Dijon ink.
For my label, I had fun with the Layering Circle Framelit Dies by layering four different circles on top of each other to add dimension. I stamped the top one with Crumb Cake ink for a subtle design.
For the banner, I flipped over the one provided in the kit and stamped it with Delightful Dijon ink.
Finally, I unraveled the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon that came with the kit so I could use two strands to tie a bow. (You could also use some Linen Thread for a similar look.)
Additional supplies used on my card:
This project used the contents of the kit and a few extra supplies.
