It’s April Paper Pumpkin time!!! This is an especially awesome kit, because it included an extra, bonus stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to celebrate the third birthday of Paper Pumpkin! How great is that? Thank you Stampin’ Up!
First, let me show you the April kit. Here’s the photopolymer stamp set:
And here’s a photo of the rest of the kit. I didn’t photograph multiple cutouts of the same pieces, so it would be easier to see. (There were tons of those leaf cutouts to create the wreath!) The kit included a Very Vanilla Craft Stampin’ Spot ink pad, a foam wreath, a frame with twine, 12 sheets of leaf cutouts (only one is shown here), 4 sheets of cotton paper flowers, 1 sheet of chalkboard tags (just samples of the two types are shown here), a branch die cut, 5 feet of vanilla cotton ribbon, and 50 adhesive dots!!! Whew, that’s a lot of supplies.
The wreath is so adorable! Here’s my finished project. It was so easy to assemble! The adhesive strips were already attached to the back of all the leaf cutouts. All I had to do was wrap the cutouts around the wreath!
What’s really cool is that the kit included four chalkboard pieces, so I stamped the others so I could exchange them for different occasions.
The second stamp set provided in this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is called All About Everything. After I started using it, I realized how much I love it!!! This set includes 18 different stamps, including a large and small paint brush stamp that are so fun to use!
I spent a good part of Saturday creating two cards and tutorials for the Paper Pumpkin Gurus. This is the group of demonstrators that I work with to compile the exclusive tutorials we provide our customers for free each month. This month, we’re providing our customers TWO tutorials, one using the stamp set provided in the kit and another using the All About Everything stamp set. The tutorial for the kit will be distributed around May 1st and the second tutorial focusing on the All About Everything stamp set will be distributed around May 8th.
As a result, I only have one alternative project to share today. I used the All About Everything stamp set, some of the supplies from the kit, and some embellishments from previous kits.
First, I cut out leaves from one of the extra leaf cutouts that I didn’t use. (I had several left over, and that’s after using them generously while making my wreath!)
Next, I used one of the adorable extra chalkboard tags provided in the kit. I LOVE the scallop edge!!! I used that tag as a pattern to cut another using Very Vanilla cardstock (with a straight edge.)
Then, I stamped several flowers on Very Vanilla cardstock with Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride ink and cut them out by hand.
I layered the flowers with dimensionals and used sequins from previous Paper Pumpkin kits to create the centers.
For the background, I used some Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped it with leaves, small flowers and the two brush stroke stamps and then sponged the edges.
The center ribbon is from this month’s kit, and the Mint Macaroon Baker’s Twine is from a previous kit. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again here, one of my favorite things about Paper Pumpkin kits are the exclusive embellishment treasures. I keep and use them all!!!
