A Sweet Treat

Looking for a quick way to make an elegant Valentine treat?  Well, look no further.  Stampin’ Up!’s Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are perfect!  (You get 16 boxes for only $7.50!!!)  I love them because you can see what’s inside and they’re just the right size for cute little treat.

I decided to fill my box with silver chocolates and stick with a white and silver color scheme.

The first thing I did was create a belly band using Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.  This acetate is really cool because it’s silver on one side and gold and the other.  I cut a strip 2″ wide by slightly larger than 8″ (to accomodate wrapping around the 2″ x 2″ box) and removed the plastic film.  Then, I scored the acetate every 2 inches.  I did not adhere the belly band together; instead I just simply used the Sale-A-Bration Silver 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon to hold the acetate closed around the box.

Next, I adhered one of the new Lace Doilies from the Occasions Catalog.  These are also two-toned, with white on one side and vanilla on the other!  Very cool!!!

Afterwards, I used the Sweet and Sassy Framelits to cut 5 of the smallest layering hearts out of Silver Foil.  I scored each in the middle and adhered them together at the fold.  It looked a little unfinished, so I added a little string of pearls to the top heart.

To jazz up the bow on the side, I added a few elements.  First, I tied a simple bow around some Silver Sequin Trim, then I tucked the long ends back under the bow to make an additional loop on both sides.  I used some unraveled White Thick Baker’s Twine to tie everything off.  It just adds a little extra pizzazz.

Enjoy your weekend!
